- If you are a pastor you know the feeling of waking up Monday morning, exhausted, spent but pumped out of your mind because of what God is doing in your church
- If that’s you today (and it’s me) savor that flavor as it doesn’t happen every week
- But this week has been that week at Revolution Church
- I woke up exhausted yesterday because I could not sleep Saturday night as I kept thinking about my sermon topic (ending bitterness and forgiving those who have hurt you) and kept seeing people in our church who I know are hurting, carrying bitterness and withholding forgiveness
- It was a huge weight that I carried into my sermon
- The response and what God is doing in people’s hearts was overwhelming
- I don’t think we’ve had a sermon that received more responses than this one
- WOW
- If you missed it, you can listen to it here
- If you find yourself struggling with why God allowed something to happen in your life, there’s a book on kindle today that’s free that you for sure should read, it’s called Trusting God Even when Life Hurts
- Our newcomer’s lunch yesterday was a huge success
- We had over 20 people in our house for lunch
- Love the energy new people have about a church, they are excited about the vision and getting connected
- I always love hearing how people find Revolution and what God is stirring in their lives
- Our Christmas Offering kicks off this Sunday
- Be praying about what you are going to give to is as we give 100% away what is given
- This year, the majority of it is going to Streetlight Tucson, which helps to rescue girls from the sex trafficking in Tucson, give them Christian counseling and mentoring and life skills to get on their feet
- You can read more about it here
- We have family in town for the next 2 weeks, so it should be loud and fun at our house for awhile
- As an introvert, come Nov. 24th I’m probably going to move to a cabin to recover
- I started reading the “new” Lincoln book in anticipation of the movie coming out
- I love historical books and this one is fascinating
- Speaking of movies, took Katie to see the new Bond movie this past Friday
- Not as fast paced as a Bourne movie, but still really good
- When I’m 50, I’d love to look like Daniel Craig, crazy
- I’d appreciate your prayers today, I’m trying to finish up some of the materials for my book proposals
- Praying God opens the right doors for those
